01Who we are
This website is operated by Unitrix (“Unitrix”, “we”, “us”).
For personal data collected through this website, Unitrix decides why and how the data is used, and acts as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”).
02What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data we collect through unitrix.io: our forms, newsletter, emails you send us and website analytics.
It does not cover business data your company stores in the Unitrix platform, including data processed by Trix AI. For that data your company is in control, Unitrix processes it on your instructions, and the terms are set out in your subscription agreement and data processing agreement. Each customer's data is held in its own dedicated database.
03The data we collect
We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the site, this can include:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Contact details | Name, work email, phone number | You, through our forms |
| Business details | Company name, company size, products or services you are interested in | You, through our forms |
| Your message | Anything you write in a form, email or chat with us | You |
| Campaign details | The page you were on and the campaign link that brought you here (UTM tags) | Collected automatically when you submit a form |
| Usage data | Pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type | Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies |
| Careers data | Your CV, profile links and the role you are interested in | You, if you contact us about a job |
We do not ask for sensitive data such as financial account details, health information or government identifiers through this website. Please do not send them.
04Why we use it, and on what basis
| Purpose | Data used | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry, arrange a demo and prepare a proposal | Contact, business details, your message | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| Send our newsletter | Email address | Your consent, which you can withdraw in any email |
| Understand how the site is used and improve it | Usage data | Your consent through the cookie banner |
| Consider you for a role | Careers data | Your consent |
| Keep the site secure and prevent abuse | Technical data such as IP address in server logs | Legitimate uses permitted by law |
| Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests | Any of the above, as required | Compliance with law |
05Consent and withdrawing it
Where we rely on consent, it is asked for clearly and separately: the checkbox on our forms, the newsletter sign-up and the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the unsubscribe link in any email, change your choice on the cookie policy page, or write to us.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.
07Transfers outside India
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside India. Where they do, we use providers with appropriate safeguards and only transfer data to countries that are not restricted under the DPDP Act and its rules.
08How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries and demo requests | While we are in conversation and for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted or anonymised |
| Newsletter email | Until you unsubscribe |
| Website analytics | Up to 14 months, then deleted by Google Analytics |
| Careers applications | Up to 12 months, unless you ask us to keep it longer |
| Records we must keep by law | As long as the law requires |
09How we protect it
Data is sent over encrypted connections, stored with providers that encrypt it at rest, and access is limited to people who need it for their work. We review access regularly. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the Data Protection Board of India and affected people as the law requires. Read more on our security page.
10Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct, complete or update data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erase data that is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if unresolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, write to privacy@unitrix.io. We may need to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
